Video Released of Florida Officer Shooting Armed Man at Gas Station

Video from the officer’s body camera shows a struggle between the officer and Paquin. Paquin reaches into his truck and produces a pistol. On the video the officer shoots Paquin as he appears to charge at the officer with the gun.

The Jacksonville (Florida) Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance video and body-worn camera video of a July 16 officer-involved shooting in which a man pulled a pistol from his truck and pointed it at a deputy.

Suspect Brenton Paquin, 37, was wanted for crimes in another Florida county and is a person of interest in a Vermont murder, First Coast News reports.

He was located at a gas station by a Jacksonville Sheriff’s officer and did not comply with the officer’s commands.

Paquin was still hospitalized as of Tuesday.

Authorities found narcotics and several rifles and shotguns in the truck.
